Call for Work-in-Progress Papers
We are pleased to invite submissions of Work-in-Progress (WiP) papers for IEEE ITNAC 2026. This track provides an opportunity for researchers, practitioners, and students to present early-stage research, preliminary results, or innovative ideas and receive constructive feedback from the community.
Submission Guidelines
Submitted manuscripts must represent original, unpublished work, be written in English, and conform to the standard IEEE templates available here.
Important Policy Announcement: The Committee reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including its removal from the Proceedings, if the paper is not presented at the conference.
Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time, including double submission. These matters are taken very seriously, and the Committee will take action against any author who engages in either practice. ITNAC provides guidance that follows IEEE requirements.
IEEE Policy on Plagiarism
IEEE Policy on Double Submission
We invite the following types of submissions:
- Full Papers for people attending the conference: 6 pages complementary, and up to 8 pages with over length charge.
- WiP Papers for authors attending the conference: 3 pages complementary, and up to 4 pages with over length charge.
Submissions should clearly describe the research problem, methodology, and preliminary findings.
Papers should be formatted according to the IEEE conference template.
Submissions will undergo double-blind review. Authors must ensure that the manuscript is fully anonymized and does not contain author names or identifying information.
Paper Review Process
Papers are submitted to EDAS. The Technical Program Committee members carry out blind paper reviews and complete an EDAS form. A minimum of three reviews are carried out for each paper. The review includes assessment of originality, scientific and technical quality, presentation quality, overall recommendation, similarity, strengths, and weaknesses.
Paper Submission Steps
- Papers must be submitted to IEEE PDF eXpress to generate an IEEE-compliant PDF for the conference. The PDF eXpress Conference ID is 71859.
- Submit your PDF through EDAS here.
Guidelines for Camera-Ready Papers
When preparing the final version of your paper, please address all relevant critical comments from reviewers. The IEEE templates are the same as for initial submissions.
All camera-ready papers should be in PDF 1.7 format or higher and fonts must be embedded. The final version must be submitted via EDAS. Please log in to EDAS, click “copyright” in the row with your paper, complete the copyright form, and upload the final version of your paper.
For final manuscripts:
- If you are using Microsoft Word, use its most current version to reduce word-to-PDF conversion issues such as embedded fonts and bookmarks.
- No page numbers and no headers/footers.
- A non-zero PDF top and bottom margin, typically at least 0.5 inches, to help indicate if there are any page numbers.
- The final version must pass the format check in EDAS.
If you are informed about errors in your PDF file, hints for fixing a given problem can be found here.
Full papers are allocated up to six A4 pages in the IEEE conference proceedings. Short papers are allocated up to three pages. Full papers may include up to two additional pages, and short papers may include one additional page, with an extra charge of AUD 100 per page. Full papers exceeding eight pages or short papers exceeding four pages will not be accepted by EDAS.
The deadline for camera-ready submission is provided on the homepage.
No-Show Policy
An author, in offering a paper for presentation at an IEEE conference or accepting an invitation to present a paper, is expected to be present at the meeting to deliver the paper. If circumstances unknown at the time of submission preclude its presentation by an author, the program chair should be informed in time and appropriate substitute arrangements should be made. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, for example removal from IEEE Xplore, if the paper is not presented at the conference.
Preparing Your Presentation for ITNAC
Please ensure that you nominate the presenter in EDAS and upload your presentation to EDAS before the conference.
Sessions have been planned to allow 25 minutes per presentation. Approximately 18–20 minutes are allocated for delivery, and 5–7 minutes are allocated for Q&A discussions and changeovers. Please plan your presentation to fit these parameters. PowerPoint or PDF delivery will be acceptable. For a normal conference talk, we recommend approximately 15–18 slides.
“An introduction, opening, body and conclusion comprise the four major parts of a successful presentation. The introduction sets up your presentation by identifying the tone of your message, highlighting the importance of the subject matter and establishing your credibility.”
“Finally, the conclusion summarizes your core message, recaps your main points and challenges the audience to take action.”

How to Use IEEE PDF eXpress
Before creating a PDF: Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.
Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site: https://ieee-pdf-express.org/.
First-time users should do the following:
- Select the New Users - Click Here link.
- Enter the Conference ID: 71859, your email address, and a password.
- Continue to enter information as prompted.
An online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup. Previous users of PDF eXpress should follow the same steps but enter the same password used for previous conferences. Please verify that your contact information is valid.
Once inside PDF eXpress, you have two options:
- Option 1, recommended: Generate the PDF file from your source files, such as MS Word. Select “Create New Title”, enter the title of the paper, upload the source files, and download the converted IEEE Xplore-compliant PDF.
- Option 2: Validate a PDF file generated using another tool. Ensure that all fonts are embedded, and that there are no bookmarks or links. Upload the PDF through “Create New Title” and download the validated file once it passes the PDF eXpress check.
Access the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress for support.
Student Grants
ITNAC 2026 has secured 10 student registration grants to support student participation. The grants are intended to help partially offset the registration fee and/or the cost of attending the conference, including expenses such as travel and accommodation.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program at the time of the conference.
- Student authors of accepted papers are especially encouraged to apply.
- The level of participation will be considered a priority criterion, for example presenting a paper, authoring a paper, or other active involvement in the program.
Scope of Support:
- International Student Grants: These grants support students from overseas institutions participating in IEEE ITNAC 2026.
