Christchurch offers a wide range of accommodation: from luxury hotels to less expensive motels, budget university hostels, and backpacker hostels.
The conference venue hotel is the Chateau on the Park. It is located just minutes away from Hagley Park, the Christchurch Botanic Gardens and the Westfield Shopping Centre in Riccarton Rd.
Cheaper, but quite comfortable, accommodation is offered by a number of motels, located within a few blocks from the conference venue.
The Sonoda Apartments are in a small, friendly, self-catered Hall of Residence for students of the University of Canterbury, offering comfortable and affordable rooms for individual guests. They are situated 3.2km from the conference venue. There are city buses between these two locations.
Stay in the Conference Hotel
The conference venue is the Chateau on the Park Hotel Christchurch located at 189 Deans Avenue, Riccarton, 8011 Christchurch, New Zealand. Participants who stay at the conference hotel are offered a special ATNAC 2013/SSEEGN 2013 price for the conference:

A number of rooms are guaranteed for the conference participants at a special rate until the 11 October 2013, unless all rooms reserved for this special rate are booked earlier.

Accommodation in Apartments at the University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury offers a limited number of rooms to conference participants in its Sonoda Apartments House in Dovedale Avenue, Ilam, Christchurch. The room prices are:
- 65 NZD/night for one room in a five bedroom apartment (including service fees, VAT, city tax).

Rooms have been reserved for conference participants until 20th September 2013. The Sonoda is within a 30 minutes (3.2 km or 2 miles) walk from the Conference Hotel. There are city buses between these two locations too. Even if you take public transportation, the travel takes about 10-20 minutes.
