Travel to and from the Airport

Dunedin Taxis is the University’s Preferred Supplier for Taxis in Dunedin. 
It will cost approximately NZD$80 from the airport into Dunedin city.  You need to book this in advance to take advantage of the special rate, so prior to your arrival in Dunedin please go to www.dunedintaxis.co.nz/bookings and identify yourself at the time of booking as a visiting delegate of the ITNAC2016 Conference in the “Pick up Address” box on the form.  This will ensure the special rate is fixed into your booking, and one of their call centre staff will confirm this back to you by email.

Non booked airport taxis and shuttles

Taxis and shuttles are available at the airport through other companies.  A typical taxi fare from the airport to the city is approx. NZD$90; shuttle prices vary widely between companies with fares starting from approx. NZD$30.  You may wish to consider your options by visiting these websites:

Accommodation

It is a busy time of year in Dunedin, please book your accommodation as early as possible.

Dunedin has a wide range of accommodation to choose from in close vicinity to the University of Otago Campus.  Most of the accommodation listed below is within walking distance of the main campus.   When you choose your accommodation it is important to find a place that is suited to your particular needs.

All prices stated were correct at the time of listing.  Past experience has shown that rates on the internet are sometimes cheaper, therefore we recommend you to check the rates before booking.

The University accommodation choices are situated within one block of the Commerce Building. 

Executive Residence
Room Rates: $152.50 per night which includes parking and wireless internet.  Breakfast is an additional $15.

University College

Limited accommodation has been reserved for the period of Tuesday 6th  to Saturday 10th December.

Room Rates including continental breakfast: $75.00 Single (King size bed); $95.00 Double (Queen Bed, maximum two persons).  These are rooms with shared bathroom facilities that resemble ensuite bathrooms and additional toilets along the corridor on each floor.  Penthouse suites are available at a cost of $105.00 (Queen Bed, maximum two persons) and have a small lounge downstairs with the bedroom upstairs along with an ensuite bathroom.  The stairs are quite steep and narrow, but the upstairs view is stunning.

More rooms can be made available on request, but they would have cubicle style shared bathroom facilities.
