Visa to enter New Zealand

We strongly recommend to all participants that they check, as soon as possible, the rules for entering New Zealand that are applicable to passport holders from their specific country. Participants with passports from visa waiver countries do not need to apply for a visa to travel to New Zealand. However, they will need to have their letter of invitation to the Conference with them, in case they are requested at the border.

VISA invitation letters will be available to all participants on 2 September 2018 through EDAS. Please send a request to mark.gregory@rmit.edu.au  if you require a VISA invitation letter earlier.

Do I need a visa?

Check to see whether you need a visitor visa to come to New Zealand.

If your home country is on our visa-waiver list, you can enter New Zealand without a visa, depending on how long you want to stay.

If you are not from a visa-waiver country you will need a visa. The detailed guidance about how to obtain a visa can be found on the Immigration New Zealand website http://www.immigration.govt.nz/
