Information for Overseas Participants
Visa to enter New Zealand
We strongly recommend that all participants check the entry requirements for New Zealand as early as possible, based on their country of passport. Nationals of visa waiver countries must hold a valid NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority).
You can check whether you need a visa or an NZeTA on the New Zealand Immigration website: https://www.govt.nz/browse/immigration-and-visas/visitor-visas-and-the-nzeta/check-if-you-need-a-visitor-visa-or-an-nzeta/
If your country is not on the visa waiver list, you will need to apply for a visitor visa before travelling to New Zealand.
Visitor visa information and application forms can be found here: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/visas/visitor-visa/
Visa Invitation Letter
Visa invitation letters will be available to all participants through EDAS. You must register and complete payment before a visa letter can be downloaded via EDAS.
If you require a VISA invitation letter earlier, email committee@itnac.org.au.
Participants are advised to carry their letter of invitation to the conference when entering New Zealand, in case it is requested by border officials.
Other useful information
New Zealand's currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZD). As of June 2025, one NZD is approximately equal to 59 US cents. ATMs are widely available at the airport and in most towns and cities.
